Create a spooky piece for Halloween using hand-building techniques and learning the art of sgrafitto surface decoration. Sgrafitto is a surface decoration technique where colored slips are painted on to wet clay and then tools are used to carve through the color to expose the raw clay below (see image). Participants are encouraged but not required to bring their own ideas and inspiration.
Materials, glaze, and firing are all included in the workshop fee.
